Cultivar and Harvest Stage Effects on Nutritive Value of Whole Crop Oat (Avena sativa L.) Silages

This study was carried out to investigate the effects of feed value and dry matter (DM) on rumen degradability properties silages oat (Avena sativa L.) cultivars (Kahraman Kırklar) at different harvest stages (pre-flowering, flowering, milk, soft dough). Field digestibility trials were in randomized blocks, a 2x4 factorial trial design during 2016-2017 vegetation period. For silages, three heads Karayaka rams with cannulated, average 50±3 kg body weight 3 years old used. As result experiment, It observed that crude protein (CP) level Kahraman cultivar higher than Kırklar cultivar, CP content decreased from pre-flowering period dough In addition, progress growing period, neutral detergent fiber (NDF) varieties increased. Also, net energy lactation (NEL) cultivar. However, NEL levels progression The water solubility DM effective (EDMD) growth both cultivars. (ECPD) rate ECPD result, may be preferred more since it has EDMD also RFV value.
